Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:

As a Maintenance Technician at FirstCash, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our facilities. You will be responsible for overseeing the general upkeep of the building, conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues. The ideal candidate will have a background in general maintenance of the building systems, good problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and functional work environment.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

· Maintenance of plumbing issues including leaks, clogs and other drainage problems

· Maintain and repair low voltage electrical issues with lighting and kitchen equipment.

· Provide preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and longevity of building systems.

· Ability to perform basic carpentry repairs around the building.

· Groundskeeping of outdoor areas in need of maintenance.

· Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and inspections.

· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards in all building operations.

· Diligence to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazard or warning signs of problems are not overlooked.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.

· Knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and fire protection.

· Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices.

· Proficient problem-solving and decision-making skills.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Postures/Requirements:

· Standing/Walking – Frequently throughout work shifts

· Sitting – Occasionally during the work shift

· Bending – Frequently bending in various directions using proper bending and body mechanics

· Reaching – Frequently

· Walking – Frequently

· Climbing – Frequently

· Kneeling – Frequently

Physical Demands/Requirements: Due to the nature of this position, this position requires the ability to safely lift, carry, and move equipment. These physical functions, including the above Work Postures/Requirements, are considered essential to the role.

· Lifting/Carrying – This position requires the ability to independently lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 70 pounds. Lifting requirements are continuous as they occur at unpredictable times. While carts or dollies may be used when available, employees must be able to safely perform required lifting tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.

· Tool Usage – Power tools and/or hand tools are used on a regular or routine basis during a normal workday.

· Chemicals Usage – Occasional.

Definitions:

Occasional = 20% of time or less

Frequent = 20-75% of the time

Continuous = 75% of the time or more
