What you will do: 
The Managing Broker will be responsible for assisting the Designated Managing Broker in the successful administration of eXp Realty brokerage operations at the provincial level. Supporting our agents in the delivery of exceptional real estate brokerage service to their clients, this position will be assisting for all operational elements necessary to comply with the individual provincial license law, association membership and MLS participation, along with the transaction review process, compliance training, and the eXp Risk Management program. This person will have an exceptional track record as a supervising real estate broker/manager of a medium to large firm, an understanding of real estate brokerage at a provincial level, an aptitude for leading and inspiring teams, a collaborative approach and a boundless work ethic. They must be a “people-person” but also possess the ability to implement systems and processes.
  • As a key participant on the eXp Realty provincial leadership team, she/he ensures that eXp delivers exceptional brokerage support to agents in their representation of clients and customers. 
  • Timely and promptly responds to agents' requests for assistance. 
  • Promptly assist agents with necessary processes to ensure quick transfer of license.
  • Coordinates distribution of inbound mail.
  • Liaison between agents and other internal departments when necessary.
  • Periodic Face to Face meetings to cultivate Trust and Community.
  • Promote practices to better ensure the safety and well-being of all agents. 
  • Promote a culture that is positive and supportive, upholding the core values of eXp Realty including collaboration, transparency, integrity, agile, agent-centric, and relationship focused Brokerage Operations.
  • Assists the Provincial Designated Managing Broker/Broker of Record in all duties delegated to them. 
  • Recognizes and adheres to the employee/employer model, guidelines and direction as an eXp Realty Leadership Staff member. 
  • Embraces utilizes and promotes the eXp technology, tools & platforms Realty World Campus and cloud environment. 
  • Engages in active involvement with local, provincial and Canadian Real Estate Association and is the secondary point person for eXp’s relationship with the associations and Multiple Listing Services.
  • Performs contract review to ensure legal and contractual compliance of transactions in a timely manner. 
  • Collaborates with the ROM, DMB, and the eXp Legal Department to ensure that eXp Provincial brokerage operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations including provincial license law. 
  • Monitors provincial performance goals and works with the DMB on the accountability for their achievement. 
  • Works with the DMB to ensure the implementation of the eXp Risk Management Program and valued risk management tools to eXp Agents. 
  • Manages and implements the ongoing enhancement of and compliance with company-wide and individual provincial brokerage operations manuals. 
  • Provides oversight of customer facing marketing activities. 
  • Mediates issues between eXp agents within the province when required. 
  • Supports innovation in how the company can efficiently support its growing provincial agent base in terms of brokerage operations. 
  • Works hand-in-hand with eXp Growth Leaders for the overall success of eXp Realty in their province. 
  • Provides monthly report to leadership regarding Brokerage Operations key indicators.
  • When applicable, provides leadership, support and oversight to the Compliance Review Specialist. 
  • Regularly conducts training to enhance agent’s knowledge and understanding of contracts, risk management, licensing and both federal and provincial real estate law and compliance to our FINTRAC Manual, Privacy Policy, DNC List and requirements and the Competition Act and Anti-Spam Regulations. 
  • Effectively consults and engages with eXp agents and others in problem solving of matters associated with difficult or complex transaction issues. 
  • Provides guidance and support to agents as needed. 
  • Review contracts to ensure legal and contractual compliance of transactions as needed.
  • Conduct contract training to enhance agent’s knowledge and understanding of contract, risk management, licensing, and provincial real estate law as needed.
  • Your job includes any EXPI entity, in your area, which may be assigned.
  • Other Accountabilities as Assigned.
How you will grab our attention: 
  • Holds an active real estate broker license with continuing education credits in real estate management and legal compliance. 
  • Must be fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi.
  • Experience in managing a small to medium brokerage firm, specifically from an operations or compliance perspective preferred. 
  • A keen interest in and high level, experience in real estate compliance activities including a deep knowledge and understanding of legal obligations of real estate professionals under the provincial and federal law, FINTRAC, Privacy Act, the CREA Code of Ethics and MLS Rules and Regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills across all levels of the organization. 
  • Highly collaborative and capable of working with internal partners and staff to facilitate successful results both in a virtual environment and in person. 
  • Ability to think operationally and strategically to achieve business goals. 
  • Able to drive results and meet goals with a strong sense of urgency. 
  • Ability to make quick decisions and solve problems using good judgment. 
  • Possess the highest degree of integrity. 
  • Willingness and ability to travel. 
  • Ability to work in a remote environment. 
  • Member of the Canadian Real Estate Association.
  • A working knowledge of SkySlope preferred.

The starting base pay for this position is $81,900 CAD per year in our lowest geographic cost of living market and is dependent upon many factors such as location, experience, skills, and training. Base pay is only one part of the total compensation package offered to employees in recognition of their hard work and is determined within a range to allow for growth and development within a role.
