We are seeking an experienced and strategic Global Medical Education Director to lead the development and implementation of high quality, innovative global medical and clinical strategies to support the Evolus’ portfolio. In this position, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to refine learning pathways, manage Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), establish strategic content development, and forge valuable partnerships in alignment with the Company’s strategy. Let’s talk about some of the key responsibilities of the role: 
  • Develop strategy and processes for investigator-initiated studies.
  • Facilitate the recruitment and evaluation of appropriate investigators for post-marketing investigations.
  • Execute a proactive messaging communications plan thru scientific presentations and peer-reviewed publications.
  • Build relationships with thought leaders and locally influential providers.
  • Interpret and effectively communicate relevant medical and scientific literature and present complex medical and scientific ideas fluently to internal and external audiences.
  • Use knowledge and experience for development, improvement and optimization of internal processes with strong background in the development and implementation of SOPs and work instructions.
  • Assist with the development and review of scientific marketing presentation materials.
  • Attend conventions, symposiums, and congresses to gain medical and scientific insights.
  • Develop and participate in advisory boards to gain insights on industry trends, product awareness and clinical understandings.
  • Ensure medical/scientific information is accurate and balanced.
  • Provide support as needed as a scientific content expert.
  • Train external teams and field Medical Affairs teams on various aspects of scientific information.
  • Evaluate key competitive scientific information to aid the clinical and marketing teams in developing counter messaging assets.
  • Assist with the development and review of scientific marketing presentation materials.
  • Evaluate key competitive medical information to aid the clinical and marketing teams in developing counter messaging assets.
  • Maintain compliance with company standard operating procedures, training records and administrative documentation.   
  • Ensure deliverables are met in a timely and efficient manner.

 

Skills and Qualifications Required for this Dynamic Team Member: 
  • Masters level degree or higher required.
  • 5+ years of related industry experience in medical affairs or clinical research.
  • Background and/or experience required in the aesthetic space.
  • Ability to initiate and lead scientific discussions with health care providers.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders in the aesthetic field.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 
  • Ability to independently prioritize own work.
  • Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness to all levels of the organization.
  • Attention to detail in analyses, deliverables and communications.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Adapts to change quickly and calmly.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software including: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
 
  
A Few Other Items Worth Mentioning:   
  • This position will be based in our Newport Beach, CA office (Hybrid Tuesday - Thursday onsite)
  • Reports directly to the VP of Medical Affairs.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
   
Compensation & Total Rewards   
The pay range for this position is $167,000 to $217,160.  Your actual base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on a number of considerations including but not limited to role relevant knowledge and skills, experience, education, certifications, and more.
