We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior International Accountant to join our Accounting Team, reporting to the International Financial Controller, based in Milan, ensuring close collaboration with global leadership. In this pivotal role, you’ll be a collaborative partner within our International business, leading month-end close activities and preparing accurate, timely financial reporting packs for all Evolus markets outside the U.S. You'll bring your technical accounting expertise and research skills to help shape, implement, and continuously improve our financial processes and reporting structures across international operations. You’ll play a key role in driving operational excellence and delivering insights that support strategic decision-making as we grow globally. Essential duties and responsibilities where you'll make the biggest impact…
- Drive timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses.
- Manage revenue recognition processes, including complex contract arrangements.
- Lead the external audit and annual accounts preparation for international entities, initially in partnership with local consultants.
- Prepare and submit statutory filings in each relevant jurisdiction, ensuring compliance with local requirements.
- Support the implementation and ongoing execution of SOX-compliant processes and internal controls.
- Ensure all accounting activities align with both US GAAP and local GAAP standards.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams to gather information, share insights, and support business needs.
- Contribute to special projects and initiatives within the accounting function as they arise.
- Own your areas of responsibility—maintaining clear documentation and process transparency.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
- Potential opportunity to manage and support a team member as the function evolves.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed, contributing flexibly to the broader success of the team and organization.
- Office Location – Milan, Italy (hybrid onsite Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)
- Travel: Some travel may be required

Qualifications and Skills You’ll Bring to the Team…
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Solid understanding of accounting principles with progressive experience in similar roles
- Exposure to international, multi-country operations
- Previous involvement in a fast-paced, scale-up or start-up environment is a real advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently across teams and cultures
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and take ownership
- A collaborative team player who thrives in close-knit, cross-functional teams
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing competing priorities

- Hands-on and adaptable—willing to roll up sleeves and contribute at all levels
Preferred Qualifications…
- Italian professional qualification (e.g. Dottore Commercialista) or international equivalent
- Experience in the life sciences or pharmaceutical sector
- Familiarity with US GAAP and experience working in a SOX-compliant environment
- Experience within a US-headquartered company
