We are currently looking for a Manager - Digital, who will drive the digital planning for one of our FoodTech client. This includes bringing together all digital elements - paid social, search, programmatic, video, voice, etc – in an integrated manner to deliver on brand objectives. 
A thorough knowledge of the media marketplace and opportunities available and build constructive relationships with digital platform owners. 
An innovative approach: to understand emerging formats, tech innovations, digital firsts and deliver disruptive ideas to the media plans.

About the role

The position of Media Planning Manager at EssenceMediacom is probably one of the highest and most prestigious roles at the agency with perhaps the most understated sounding title. We have very high expectations of Media Planning Managers in the quality of work that they do and the way that they work within the agency, with our clients and suppliers. This role is for someone who wants to learn about EssenceMediacom's unique approach to media by being right in the middle of the action. Our Media Planning Managers tend to report into a Media Planning Director and manage several Media Planning Managers and Senior Execs. They are the lynchpin of the Media Planning operation - the master of the day to day running of the team. They are the engine behind projects, timelines, and next steps to complete deliverables on time. They are a source of authority on operational tasks like Olive (Essence’s campaign management tech), Trafficking, Creative, etc. In meetings, our Media Planning Managers lead such things as Status meetings, they Drive QBRs and ensure that reporting is accurate and contains relevant insights. The Media Planning Manager has responsibility for the day-to-day management of the
tactical media plans and its proper implementation, working to implement the brand's overall media strategy in the context of changing conditions and opportunities. This role is responsible for
demonstrating a strong working knowledge of the media marketplace and available media research.

Some of the things we’d like you to do:

● Completion of Tactical Plans, Performance Reports, and Post-Campaign Analysis as directed by the Associate Director or Director, across all digital inventory (from search to video) for the campaigns within their scope
● Responsible for expressing the strategic rationale behind media investment decisions and evidencing the performance vs. expected outcomes
● Development multiple case studies of strategically interesting work throughout the course of the year to be leveraged in internal training/on-boarding as well as in new business
● Support Media Planning Director in resource management
● Accountable for the completion of and adherence to Campaign Analysts Plans
● Responsible for the quality of reporting and insights within assigned campaigns.
● Host client meetings and sync-ups
● Contributes content to and present at Media Planning Milestone Meetings such as tactical presentations and post campaign analysis
● Deliver quarterly, semi-annual, or annual updates on work quality as it relates to workstreams (Quarterly business review, Learning Agenda, Platform Evaluations)
● Identify new vendors/partners while maintaining a POV on them
● Drives how syndicated and first party data is used within the campaign lifecycle
● Support global alignment and collaboration at the Client Pod level
● Ensure successful onboarding of new Essentials by creating onboarding plans
● Manage 2-6 direct media planning reports to support career growth/development

A bit about yourself:

● At least 3-5 years’ experience in the Digital Media or Advertising field
● Solid understanding of media concepts/terms, creative and budget requirements
● Solid grasp of digital marketing, especially a deep knowledge of digital media
● Ability to forecast outcomes of brand/DR campaigns and manage spend
● Experience with Media Research Tools (ComScore, GWI, TGI, YouGov) Preferred
● Strong written and verbal communication skills including the desire to progress
● Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented and capable of multi-tasking
● Proven problem solving skills and ability to think outside of the box Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
