Our client is seeking a skilled AI Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of innovative enterprise-level AI solutions. The primary focus of this role will be to support backend development for AI projects, including an enterprise AI chatbot integrated with Microsoft Azure and OpenAI. This role requires proficiency in C# and Python, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge AI-powered applications.
As part of our team, you’ll work alongside a Principal Developer who will architect the projects, allowing you to focus on coding and backend integrations. This is a hands-on development role with opportunities to work on exciting projects that transform how we utilize AI across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain backend systems for enterprise AI projects, including the Enterprise AI chatbot.
  • Build and optimize code in C# and Python to support AI-related backend mechanisms.
  • Integrate with tools like Microsoft Azure, OpenAI, and CoPilot Studio to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.
  • Develop and maintain mechanisms to ingest and process enterprise documents from platforms like SharePoint.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Principal Developers, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Optimize chatbot performance and ensure enterprise-wide deployment through platforms like Microsoft Teams.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and debug application issues, ensuring a high standard of reliability and scalability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong proficiency in C# and Python.
  • Experience with backend development for AI or chatbot projects.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, including Azure services for AI and cloud-based development.
  • Understanding of OpenAI technologies and how to integrate them into enterprise solutions.
  • Experience building and deploying applications across enterprise platforms, such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience with AI Frameworks, like Semantic Kernel or LangChain.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a development team, taking direction from lead architects.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):
  • Familiarity with CoPilot Studio or similar chatbot development platforms.
  • Knowledge of Azure stack for AI integration and deployment.
  • Experience working with enterprise-level document ingestion from platforms like SharePoint.
  • Experience working with Semantic Kernal framework.
  • Familiarity with Agentic Framework.
  • Prior experience developing and scaling enterprise-wide chatbots or AI applications.
