We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to oversee SEC reporting, technical accounting, and critical revenue-related functions. This role ensures compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations while driving accuracy, efficiency, and scalability across financial reporting and revenue operations. Success in this role requires a hands-on approach, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to partner directly with the key stakeholders and executive leadership.
What you will do
SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting
- Lead preparation and filing of quarterly and annual SEC reports (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K), earnings releases, and related disclosures.
- Research, advise and draft technical accounting memos on complex transactions; monitor SEC and FASB developments for impact.
- Oversee SOX controls, support Investor Relations team and Audit Committee reporting.
- Partner with external auditors and internal teams to ensure timely audits and reviews.
Revenue Accounting
- Own global revenue recognition under ASC 606, including policy development and compliance.
- Collaborate with Sales, Legal and Finance to ensure accurate contract terms and revenue treatment.
- Analyze revenue trends and drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
Rebate & Commission Accounting
- Manage accounting for rebates and sales commissions, including amortization of capitalized costs and related reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing aligned with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Stock Administration
- Oversee equity compensation programs (RSUs, ESPP, performance shares), including governance and financial reporting.
- Partner with HR, Legal and Finance to maintain scalable processes and controls.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to support business objectives and ensure compliance.
Who you are and What you bring
- CPA required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in SEC reporting, technical accounting, and revenue recognition within public companies.
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle Fusion preferred), SEC filing tools (Workiva) and equity platforms (E*Trade).
The base pay range for this position is $171,000 to $234,000 per year. This salary range may be modified in the future. The successful candidate starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, education or training, work location, and market conditions. This position is also eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
