Enphase is starting a new Engineering site in the greater Frankfurt area, to enable regional engineering support for customers as well as for the support of regional product needs (system integration testing, compliance testing). The site will comprise significant lab space for the system- and compliance test lab, R&D area as well as a training center.   

What you will be doing: 

  • Building, leading, and growing a world-class engineering team to conduct system-level and compliance testing 
  • Full site responsibility as site manager, including occupational safety and security 
  • Taking management ownership of the test laboratory and its growth strategy, driving to the highest possible degree of test automation for the fastest and maximum automated execution, preparing, and supporting audits and certification efforts 
  • Working with the global team to stay aligned with Enphase’s global test strategy 
  • Regular interaction and alignment with the business unit teams as well as with the regional PLM team on product roadmaps and launch plans 
  • Supporting hiring activities for business units at the site. 
  • Interfacing with schools in universities to nurture new talent. 

Who you are and what you bring: 

  • A minimum of 15 years of professional experience in technical/engineering business in an international environment, preferably in the energy industry .
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience - preferred.
  • Fluent in English (minimum B2 level) and local language - essential.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A passion for the renewable sector.
  • Very process-focused, highly organized and comfortable in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Engaging, confident and energetic telephone personality.
  • Educated and/ or experienced in electrical engineering and a strong understanding of electrical basics. 
  • Strong background in software and system testing, including methods, tools and processes.
  • Good understanding of FFA and RMA processes .  
  • Rigorous quality and customer first mindset.
  • Proven track record in successfully leading engineering teams to success.
  • Experience working remotely with strong self-management and interpersonal skills, also a proven record of establishing and maintaining working relationships with customers, peers, and managers.
