About the role:  
The IT Desktop and Network Engineer will be responsible for providing comprehensive IT support, managing network infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems. This role involves working on tickets and tasks assigned on JIRA service desk, administering VMware virtualization services, and supporting various on-prem Dell server models 
  
What you will do: 
  • Desktop and Laptop Management: Configure and manage desktops and laptops, including the use of Microsoft Intune for device management and Active Directory for user and device administration.  
  • Network Management: Configure and maintain network switches and routers, troubleshoot network issues, and ensure optimal network performance.  
  • Virtualization Services: Administer and support VMware virtualization services, including Esxi hosts, virtual machines, network virtualization, and VSAN environment.  
  • Server Management: Establish, configure, and deploy various on-prem Dell server models such as R440, R640, R6525, and R740.  
  • Operating Systems: Install and manage Windows and Linux operating systems on virtualized or physical hardware, including Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019, CentOS, RHEL, and Ubuntu systems.  
  • Active Directory: Manage Windows Active Directory, configure and support all domain controllers used at the organization.  
  • DNS and DHCP Services: Troubleshoot issues related to internal or external DNS services, DHCP services, and LDAP authentications.  
  • Print Servers: Configure Print Servers on Windows File Servers, troubleshoot print spooler service, and promptly fix any issues related to printers/scanners.  
  • Board Room and Video Conferencing Device Administration: Manage and support board room equipment and video conferencing devices, ensuring seamless operation during meetings and conferences.  
  • Microsoft 365 Administration: Manage and support Microsoft 365 services, including user account management, email configuration, and troubleshooting issues related to Microsoft 365 applications. 
  
Who you are and what you bring:  
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.  
  • 5+ years experience in IT system and network support.  
  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.  
  • Proficiency in VMware virtualization services and Dell server management.  
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.  
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
