ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Junior QA Manual Engineer to join Egnyte. It's an opportunity to grow your testing skills while working with our Desktop Applications team on exciting and innovative features.
Together with other QA engineers and software developers, you will ensure the quality of our applications created for Egnyte’s clients, used by hundreds of thousands of users. You will become the guardian of our product's quality. Your voice will matter at every stage of your work. As your skills grow, so will your responsibility.
We have numerous opportunities for professional growth as our quality engineer. Our QA Mentors can help you learn how to handle quality in large-scale projects.
- Identifying, analysing, and reporting bugs. We prioritise thorough documentation of each ticket, as it improves the collaboration between QA engineers and software developers.
- Designing, maintaining, and executing manual tests for Egnyte's desktop applications.
- Collaborating with other QA engineers, developers, UX specialists, and product owners, providing feedback regarding potential risks or dependencies, and coming up with alternative solutions.
- Get to voice your ideas and have a real impact on how we work and what we work on.
- Learn from your team members and share your knowledge with others.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 1 years of commercial experience in testing or other equivalent experience, preferably on desktop platforms (MacOS, Windows).
- Motivated and innovative approach to testing.
- Ability to create effective test cases and execute them.
- Knowledge about how to apply testing methodologies (functional and non-functional) to real life scenarios.
- English skills that allow you to effectively communicate and perform your tasks.
- Passion for solving problems, improving things, and advocating for quality.
- Curiosity and strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of networking protocols, SQL and Postman.
- Python knowledge.
