Site Superintendent - POL Fuels - Domestic and International
Description
ECC is hiring a Site Superintendent / SSHO - Fuels for project sites in the US and/or overseas for liquid fuels maintenance (LFM) repairs to Department of Defense (DoD) Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricants (POL) facilities. This position will support ECC’s fuels group. Successful candidate will work at Wake Island starting in summer 2025 for approximately one year on island assignment. This position may require travel up to 90% of the time to project sites, including international project locations. Due to the travel requirements, the candidate can live in any US location. In this position you will:
- Coordinate with the project team, Health and Safety Officer, and Quality Control Officer for interaction of task prioritization
- Ensure compliance with health and safety and quality control requirements as identified by functional officers
- Attend all in-briefs and out-briefs
- Act as key implementer of field activities and tasks preparatory to field activities
- Assist in identifying and performing general labor tasks to achieve project objectives under the direction of the Project Manager
- Contribute methods of approach and identify solutions to logistical or operational challenges and general field operations
- Assist in identifying task-specific equipment to achieve the objectives of a task
- When appropriate, operate the equipment as needed
- Assume the role of team lead to assist the quality control officer and health and safety officer in maintaining compliance with project work plans, standard operating procedures, and sound field practices while achieving project objectives
- Coordinate with the team to prioritize field activities and identify task assignments
- In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position
Requirements:
- Proven ability to implement programs to address complex needs and problems
- Ability to coordinate with staff on various task assignments and field activities
- Knowledge of federal contracting regulations and requirements
- Two years of progressively responsible experience on environmental or construction projects
- Knowledge of scheduling and budgeting for large construction projects
- DoD POL Fuels construction superintendent experience
- Travel: Must be able to travel up to 90% of the time domestically and internationally
- Education: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Construction Management or related field required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- More than two years experience with DoD POL Fuels construction projects
ECC targeted base salary range is $115,000 to $125,000 annually.
Actual salary offered may be affected by education, training, certifications, experience, skills, level of responsibility, and location.
