The Senior Logistics Coordinator is a hands on operational role who shall achieve optimal productivity in the day-to-day operations of Logistics. The Senior Logistics Coordinator will foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
Status: Permanent Full-Time
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, flexible hours.

How YOU will make a difference:
- Work under the direction of the Operations Manager, assisting with day-to-day operations
- Organize team stand-ups with the Manager to discuss organizational updates, initiatives, and implement programs/policies for increased efficiency, improved client experience, and reduced operational costs.
- Provide clients with delivery-related information, ensuring high levels of customer experience
- Act as a resource for route restructuring and workgroup changes, offering solutions and addressing concerns related to route restructuring, stop capacity, and customer-supplier alignment
- Assist the Manager with administrative duties such as operational paperwork, staff scheduling, coverage arrangements, and vacation time management
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (couriers, dispatch, warehouse, customer service, labs) to resolve service and operations issues; escalate as needed
- Resolve routing or delivery issues, communicate changes to service requirements, and oversee fleet vehicle maintenance
- Generate and maintain client reports and invoices; attend regular meetings with the Operations Manager to discuss operational metrics, and service delivery performance, and provide potential solutions for service or process issues
- Perform quality assessments to ensure route completeness, compliance with regulations, and accuracy documentation
- Monitor workgroup employees' and agent performance, conduct quality checks and audits, analyze results for training and coaching opportunities, and report findings to management for necessary action
- Conduct post-safety check rides as part of accident follow-up and complete related paperwork
- Provide new hire orientation and provide remedial training as required
- Coordinate and monitor assigned operations within established deadlines, following best practices and safe work practices
- Ensure a safe work environment by promoting proper health and safety procedures
- Coordinate annual training plans for health and safety, defensive driving, TDG, WHMIS, and other mandatory courses for couriers; escalate issues to the Operations Manager, ensure training files are up to date and documented
- Assist the Operations Manager in documenting workplace accidents, ensuring compliance with SOPs, reporting hazards, and working in accordance with safe working practices
- Perform other duties assigned by the Operations Manager in accordance with company policies and procedures.
What YOU bring to the role:
- Post-secondary Education
- 1 to 3 years related experience in a transportation industry preferably in healthcare environment.
- Previous experience in dispatching, route coordination an asset
- Updated certifications and licenses required to practice in the field.
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Proficient at providing coaching and feedback
- Proficient in MS office suite, excellent computer and keyboarding skills
- Other technical skills as applicable to the department/function
- Has a good understanding of the Dynacare business and operating environment
- Strong problem solving, decision making and judgement to resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Effective time management, and the ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver with strict timelines
- Strong customer service skills, offering best in class service to internal and external customers

Working Conditions:
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel to and between locations basis may be required in some locations
Pay range: $24.00 - $26.50 per hour
The hiring pay range has been established; however, the final pay offer will be determined by taking into consideration various factors including but not limited to, level of experience and education requirement
