Developmental Editor, Allrecipes
This assignment posting is for an Agency Worker opportunity with Dotdash Meredith. The Agency Worker is paid by a staffing agency employer. Agency Workers will receive a W2 from the staffing agency reporting their earnings for tax purposes.
As a contract developmental editor for the Allrecipes Quality Team, you will review updates that freelance editors make to recipes, articles, and other content previously published on Allrecipes.com. Updates are designed to keep content up-to-date and accurate, ensure it continues to meet brand standards, and maintain overall excellence. You’ll make sure that all updates reflect Allrecipes house style and voice, that editors have thoroughly reviewed the work and caught any/all errors, and that any changes made are necessary and correct. You’ll also offer new and veteran editors feedback and revisions to improve the overall editing process.
As a food website that reaches millions per month, we have the power and responsibility to create positive change. We are focusing our hiring efforts on diversity, equity, and inclusion and building a team that reflects our dedication to these principles at every level of our organization.
Do you have clips that demonstrate your fluency with the language of recipes and the needs of mainstream home cooks? If so, please provide them.
