People.com is seeking a dynamic Weekend SEO/Growth Analyst to elevate our entertainment content. Your role involves conducting thorough keyword research for weekend follow-ups, optimizing articles in collaboration with our editorial team, and meticulously tracking content performance against competitors. With 3-5 years in digital marketing and a profound understanding of SEO, Google News, and data visualization tools, you'll be pivotal in enhancing our online presence and audience engagement. The rate for this role is $45-$50 per hour.  
 
 
Assignment Responsibilities:  

  

  • Conduct keyword research to identify relevant opportunities for weekend story follow ups or breakouts 
  • Work with editorial teams to optimize stories, including title, meta, and article specific optimizations. 
  • Track the performance of weekend content and make recommendations for improvement relative to competitors. 
  • Track competitors to ID any new creates we have missed or should begin writing asap 

  

Skills/Experience:  

  

  • 3-5 years in a digital marketing role with considerable exposure to SEO and editorial processes 
  • Has experience working with entertainment news, and stays up to date on Hollywood celebrity and entertainment news 
  • Strong understanding of the latest strategies and tactics in the SEO space 
  • Strong understanding of Google News best practices and optimization strategies 
  • Strong understanding of analytics and data visualization tools, such as Looker, Google Analytics, and Excel/Google Sheets 
  • Experience working with editorial teams 
  • Program management experience and ability to manage multiple projects 
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams on strategy development and execution 
  • Excellent verbal and written skills 
  • Excellent presentation skills and knowledge with current presentation software tools
