Position Summary: 

The position of maintenance coordinator is responsible for leading and developing the maintenance team supporting the Pulp Mill and Wood Areas. This position reports to the Engineering/Maintenance Unit Leader.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing daily leadership to the maintenance team – including both area maintenance and shift maintenance
• Drive safety and process reliability improvements within the maintenance team
• Managing the maintenance function to reduce equipment downtime
• Work within a team environment with Engineering, Production, and maintenance planning
• Development of maintenance processes and implementation of maintenance best practices
• Responsible for cost-effective operations and meeting budgets
• Provide necessary training for and development of crew members
• Lead change efforts as needed

Technical Competencies:

• BS Degree in technical area or 5 + years of technical paper industry and/or journeyperson
• Understanding of and enthusiasm for High Performance Work Systems
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience in leadership, coaching and accountability
• Knowledge of planning and scheduling within an SAP system preferred
