Job Duties

 Reports to Maintenance Manager, job duties will include but not limited to:
  • Focus on Safety and Quality at all times.
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Perform mechanical repairs to machinery and plant support systems, including all rotating and stationary equipment
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform machinist duties and responsibilities.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and troubleshooting, understand ladder logic and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Work with production associates to perform equipment repairs and maintenance.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret machine drawings.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Qualifications
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience working on mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • A working knowledge of word processing and maintenance record keeping.
  • An understanding of equipment reliability, parts inventory, and preventative maintenance.
  • Additional education in college or vocational program is preferred.
  • PLC and Electrical training.

Must successfully complete a selection process that includes board panel interview, and background investigation, including employment, pre-employment physical, and drug screen.
