Diesel Mechanic

Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance services on trucks and trailers under the guidance of senior mechanics
- Repair and inspect heavy-duty vehicles, including engines (gas & diesel), brake systems, electrical, steering, and cooling systems
- Complete body work such as replacing fenders, bumpers, headlights, and minor auto body parts
- Conduct trailer repairs: axle replacement, hinge repairs, wiring harness work
- Handle oil changes, tire repairs, and wheel alignments with in-house equipment
- Perform electronic troubleshooting and diagnostics using OEM and Snap-on scanners (training provided)
- Use hand and power tools including wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, pressure gauges, and hydraulic jacks/hoists
- Repair and troubleshoot major components such as transmissions and engines
- Keep accurate records of maintenance work performed
- Assist with other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a mechanic (or equivalent education/training)
- High School Diploma required; Associate degree or ASE certification a plus
- 1–2 years’ auto body repair experience
- Strong knowledge of transmissions, gas/diesel engines, hydraulics, and engine replacement
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
