The Art Hotel is looking for a top-performing Catering Sales Manager.

 

The Art Hotel is seeking a full-time Catering Sales Manager who loves planning special events. You’ll work directly with clients, caterers, and other food service vendors to ensure the logistics of each hotel event run smoothly. Responsibilities include financial planning, facilitating event logistics, communicating with staff about event execution, and evaluating the success of each event. Previous experience in event planning or a related field is required. Applicants should be friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented.

Some Key Areas of Responsibility include:

  • Work with the event manager and staff to book events
  • Outline all event needs, such as event setup, necessary transportation accommodations, venue location, lodging for guests, vendors, food and drink menus, and audio-visual needs
  • Create a budget and keep track of invoices and receipts for each hotel event
  • Schedule and facilitate vendor activity in the event space
  • Communicate with on-site staff through clear banquet event orders to ensure event logistic needs are met
  • Provide excellent customer service during the event, ensuring the schedule is followed
  • Evaluate the success of hotel events and be ready to present results to team members

 

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required
  • An associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality or a related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of work experience in event management
  • Excellent communication skills for working with clients and other team members
  • Ability to budget and keep track of event planning expenditures using relevant software such as Excel
  • Exceptional time management, problem-solving, and organization skills
  • Applicants must be able to work weekends & holidays.
