Some Key Areas of Responsibilities for the Hotel Front Office Manager, Front Desk Manager, or Guest Service Manager include:
- Maintains day-to-day operations of the Front Desk.
- Establishes and maintains appropriate service standards for all Front Office areas.
- Maintains proper cash handling procedures and appropriate over and short documentation.
- Adheres to all hotel policies about hiring, disciplinary actions, and required training documentation.
- Working Front Office Manager covering all short-staffed shifts, including audits.
Requirements for the Hotel Front Office Manager, Front Desk Manager, or Guest Service Manager include:
- Strong interpersonal skills and possession of a full understanding of professional business ethics, decorum, and social skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization skills, manage time well, correctly prioritizes, and is flexible.
