Some Key Areas of Responsibilities for the Part-Time Afternoon Hotel Maintenance or Houseperson include:             

  • Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks, including mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming floors, dusting surfaces, and sanitizing common areas.
  • Stock and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, ensuring all necessary items are available for use.
  • Assist housekeeping staff with stripping and making beds, replenishing amenities, and organizing linen closets.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns, providing friendly and efficient customer service.
  • Inspect rooms and common areas for cleanliness and report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate department.
  • Assist with set-up and breakdown of banquet and event spaces, ensuring they are arranged according to the specifications provided.
  • Maintain and organize storage areas, ensuring cleanliness and efficient use of space.

              

Requirements for the Part-Time Afternoon Hotel Maintenance or Houseperson include:     

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in housekeeping or maintenance roles preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
