Position at New South Construction Supply, a Colony division

A Little About Your Day: 
  • From day to day, you will be responsible for the pickup and delivery of merchandise in a safe, timely, and courteous manner.
  • You will load your truck via forklift or by hand and secure it with strapping to ensure safe delivery to customer jobsites.
  • You will safely operate a truck-mounted forklift to load/unload building materials such as rebar, lumber, and wire mesh.
  • Operating with a strong attention to detail, you will perform your pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle, equipment, paperwork and loaded product to ensure your safety.
  • You will check in frequently with the customer to announce arrival, collect payments from customers, and ensure all signatures are received.

What You’ll Need for Success: 
  • A minimum of 3+ years of prior driving experience and deliveries.
  • Experience driving flatbeds with moffett or piggyback experience strongly preferred.
  • You must be 21 years of age or older.
  • A valid driver’s license with a sustained record of safe driving.
  • A Commercial Driver’s License A.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
