Job Title: Service Programming Coordinator

Ministry/Department: Service Programming

Reports to: Service Programming Director

Status: Full-time, non-exempt

Objective

This Service Programming Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and project support to the Service Programming Ministry team. Supporting the sermon series planning and big momentum event planning, while always pointing back to the primary purpose of being a part of a movement for all people to discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Key Responsibilities

  • ​​Maintain an authentic and growing walk with Jesus Christ through the ongoing spiritual disciplines of Bible reading, prayer, personal worship, fasting, confession and fellowship
  • Support in the planning and execution of sermon series planning, including, but not limited to:
    • Manage systems and tools that support sermon series planning, including Basecamp, Series Overview and the programming calendar
    • Coordinate and schedule meetings with ministry areas to support sermon series development and alignment
    • Visit campuses to evaluate and support excellence in the weekend service experience
    • Maintain clarity, accuracy and organization of the Series Overview
  • Carry out administrative tasks required for Creative Offsites, including, but not limited to:
    • Coordinate all logistics and communication, including invitations, attendee communication and required documentation to secure the Eleven22 Retreat Center or other venues
    • Prepare, print and organize materials; coordinate hospitality needs for meals, snacks and supplies and document discussions in an organized format in the Series Overview for distribution
  • Support the management of the Service Programming budget under the direction of the Service Programming Director, including tracking expenses, monitoring line items and communicating any overages
  • Submit expenses and check requests through the Finance Ministry and ensure timely processing and reimbursement
  • Create and maintain effective organizational systems across Basecamp, Planning Center and Series Overview, ensuring Planning Center is updated weekly with accurate service details
  • Support Service Programming Director in planning and executing churchwide events like conferences, student camp and discipleship journey events
  • Assist with calendar and planning for Service Programming Director, including meetings, check-ins, services and communication
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Three or more years of experience managing teams and events in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Planning Center, Basecamp and Power BI preferred
  • Experience working in a multi-site church environment with congregations of 12,000 or more preferred

Expected Hours of Work

Work Hours Expectations: 40 hours or more.

Schedule Expectations: Sunday through Thursday (hours may vary based on church needs, to include working full weekends).

The church has several big events (“All-Skates”) throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment, including computers and phones, with extended periods of computer use. While primarily sedentary, the role also supports on-site and off-site events, requiring standing, walking and light lifting up to 25 pounds at times. Travel is required, including visits to campuses and occasional local or out-of-area travel, and work may occur outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, based on events and ministry needs. 

Ministerial Exception

The ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see the handbook).
