The Senior Data Engineer will design build and maintain the data infrastructure including databases, data warehouses and ETL tools. Ensure that accurate and timely data is accessible to the team or applications that need it. Using their deep understanding of designing, implementing and maintaining complex data systems. Use a systematic approach to plan create and maintain architectures while also keeping it aligned with business requirements.

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES, include, but are not limited to:

  • Designing data pipelines, which are systems for processing and storing data.
  • Building ETL/ELT pipelines, data storage, and analytical tools
  • Implementing processes and systems to monitor data quality.
  • Developing and testing architectures that enable data extraction and transformation.
  • Supports the maintenance of an application portfolio, cloud architecture, integration, and data design in support of the overall business needs.
  • Monitors system health to ensure proper performance is maintained, providing recommended changes as needed.
  • Coordinates release management, including change control process and code releases.
  • Supports escalated technology issues, including second level support.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile/SAFE practices
  • Accepts other projects and assignments as needed without discord.

 

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience strongly preferred.
  • 4+ years of prior data engineering experience required (In Agile environment).
  • 3+ years of development experience working with python, SQL, ETL tools, data modeling.
  • Must have advanced SQL Server skills, Azure SQL a plus.
  • Experience with leveraging web services to integrate Salesforce with Azure and other external apps (REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, etc.)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools
  • Experience with Infrastructure as code (Terraform) preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present technical information to a diverse audience (technical, non-technical)

 

 

NOT REQUIRED BUT NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience in mortgage or financial services industry.

 

 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct Reports: N/A

 

PHYSICAL and ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

Standard office environment, equipment and tasks, including work at a computer terminal. This position requires partial sitting and walking throughout the day. Employee must be open to work overtime to complete assigned tasks.

 

CMG pays a competitive base which ranges from $80,000 to $160,000. Factors that affect base salary may include: Experience, Specific skills related to the position and education.
