Description

As a Senior Servicing Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Risk Management Program associated with mortgage servicing operations at CMG. This role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks in servicing operations while also managing regulatory complaints to ensure timely and effective resolution. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of mortgage servicing regulations and requirements, and experience handling regulatory inquiries. 
 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES, includes the following responsibilities, but not limited to:
  • Risk Analysis & Management:
    • Participate in the execution and completion of risk assessments and internal audits in the servicing business line.
    • Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and trends to proactively address potential compliance or operational issues.
    • Work closely with internal teams to address risk-related issues, ensuring adherence to current and new regulatory requirements, investor guidelines, and internal policies through oversight of the issue and change management procedure.
    • Monitor completion of required regulatory training by the servicing business line.
    • Assist in developing and maintaining dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders, highlighting key risk indicators using Sharepoint, PowerPoint, and other tools.
  • Regulatory Complaint Management:
    • Oversee the intake, investigation, and resolution of regulatory complaints (e.g., CFPB, state agencies).
    • Coordinate with business partners to investigate and obtain research needed to finalize resolutions in a manner that are fair, thoughtful, and compliance-forward, ensuring customer satisfaction.
    • Draft high-quality responses that are straightforward and informative for the recipient within a specified timeframe.
    • Ensure accurate tracking of complaint details to develop reporting mechanisms to track complaint trends and recommend process enhancements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in the mortgage industry, with majority in mortgage servicing preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of residential mortgage servicing practices and processes, along with investor guidelines and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, critical thinking, problem-solving, detail oriented, and time management skills.
  • Experience in project management preferred.
      
PHYSICAL and ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Standard office environment, equipment, and tasks, including work at a computer terminal. This position requires partial sitting and walking throughout the day. Employee must be open to work overtime to complete assigned tasks. 
 

 

 

COMPENSATION:

CMG pays a competitive salary which ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 total compensation. Factors that affect salary may include: Servicing Compliance experience, mortgage experience, overall knowledge of mortgage industry, number of years worked in it.
