Salary Range - $115,000-140,000
Position Overview:
Partnering with Sr. HR leadership, this position is responsible for the development and implementation of company policy, and requirement to act as a change agent while driving organizational effectiveness through talent acquisition, leadership development, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and compliance. .

- Demonstrates strong understanding of company and HR strategy, ultimately driving translation of strategy to region/departments, and partnering with leaders to obtain desired business outcomes.
- Responsible for being a strategic business partner working with leaders to identify, create and implement human capital solutions that enhance business performance.
- Accountable for developing, driving, delivering, and gaining adoption of talent and development programs, individual development plans, role alignment plans, succession planning, performance management, recruiting strategy, and other programs for the company or assigned region.
- Cultivate internal talent and participate in key promotional decisions.
- Participates in workforce planning with leaders within the region/departments.
- Responsible for coaching leadership using CJ Logistics training model and tools.
- Accountable for the education of managers on HR initiatives, processes and strategy; and managing all HR processes for an assigned region, including the escalation of employee investigations, policy compliance, and employee relations.
- Assure that HR programs such as new hire onboarding and assimilation are performed, support mergers and acquisitions, performance and talent management, and general HR team member education.
- Accountable for ensuring that the workplace is free of discrimination and harassment by proactively measuring employee engagement, turnover, and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and/or municipal laws.
- Partner with business leaders on escalated employee relations cases, conduct appropriate investigations, and brings the matter to the appropriate level of authority within HR in order to arrive at a resolution.
- Accountable for identifying business needs and partnering with appropriate resources to find solutions.
- Proactively monitor and react to overall HR metrics, trends, and performance for an assigned region/departments, in consultation and collaboration with other HR team members and business leaders.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with competing priorities, diverse audiences and challenging environments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and ensure cohesive delivery of HR programs and services to the wider business.
- Understanding of HR and operational systems to manage the day-to-day HR activities.
- Ensure HR team has a thorough working knowledge of systems and train where gaps exist.
- Participate in the development of new systems, piloting in regions/departments as needed, and leading the rollout across the region/departments.
- Maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality within the region.
- Perform other related job duties as required, within the scope of training and expertise
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 10 years of experience in an HR concentration, with at least 5 years of direct leadership.
- Strong interpersonal skills along with highly competent verbal and written skills and the ability to successfully collaborate among different levels of exempt and non-exempt employees.
- Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
- Experience evaluating HR standards, laws, and regulations compliance.
- Experience delivering presentations to various audience levels.
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft and Google platforms.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within and out of state).
- Ability to support changing/expanding regions/departments.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time and to work in a non-climate controlled environment including walking in a warehouse daily.
- PHR or SPHR Certification as granted by HRCI (Human Resource Certification Institute) is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive results is preferred.
- Proven ability to develop strong relationships and engage in collaborative relationships with business partners is preferred.
