Your Impact
The Solutions Engineer II Role combines detailed technical knowledge with a dedication to the sales process and customer success. The Solutions Engineer II will support sales productivity, sales and partner enablement, and customer evaluations by collaborating closely with product and technical teams to highlight how CivicPlus solutions meet customer needs. The Solutions Engineer II is responsible for supporting front-line staff in translating prospect and customer needs into compelling solutions. They will work directly with the Client Success and Sales Organizations and other identified departments to uncover customer needs, demonstrate proof of concepts and other product functionality as well as assist with technical questions and proposals.

What You’ll Do
As a Solutions Engineer II, you will:
  • Be the subject matter expert in designated product technology and solutions and represent CivicPlus in Technical and Finalist presentations in partnership with the sales representative.
  • Presents technology in all selling situations where solution demonstrations are required.
  • Design, build, maintain, and deliver innovative, impactful and use-case based demos by collaborating with different cross functional teams.
  • Be intimately involved in the deep discovery process, as well as the demonstration and proof of concept phase of the sales process, with the objective to gain the technical, business, and functional win in each sales cycle.
  • Work with the sales team to define a technical sales strategy for each prospect. Recognize and interpret customer needs and architect comprehensive solutions.
  • Drive technical presentations at trade shows and conferences.
  • Resolve any immediate issues that may arise in our demo instances, leveling expectations with different teams involved.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to help influence product roadmap based on market/customer requirements.
  • Solicit feedback from clients & internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving & expanding service offerings
  • Serve as the technical expert to provide guidance on solution configuration, provide technical response to RFPs and prospects, handle technical questions, and manage Knowledge Base.
  • Assist marketing in developing collateral that positions the company's technology to effectively articulate the client experience story.
  • Prepare and conduct discovery workshops, discussions, and value-based use case demonstrations along with sales team for prospects, customers, and partners.
  • Custom development and launch of new sales products and customer integrations to our internal teams and customer community.
  • Create, configure, and run client sandbox environments for qualified proof of concept opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in fields relating to IT, business or social sciences or comparable experience.
  • A strong technical background and an excellent understanding of SaaS software solutions.
  • Familiarity with standard web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.
  • Experience in a consultative role with clients, partners, management, and peers
  • 4+ years of experience in software delivery, technical marketing, product management, solution consulting or relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in local government role preferred.
  • Possess excellent/advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to tie business problems to technical solutions and understand technology value propositions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change, influence key stakeholders, manage expectations, and communicate effectively.
  • Self-starter and team player who collaborates well with cross functional teams working toward continual improvement.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Estimated Salary Grade Range: $80,200 – $117,100
    • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and is based on a 40-hour work week.
  • Potential Variable Pay-  Based on set quotas or goals or targets
