We are searching for a Teaching Assistant to join our team for our Cloverpatch Preschool program in Glenville.

The Clover Patch Preschool provides educational services to children ages 3 to 5 years old in a self-contained and integrated preschool classrooms in Albany and Glenville.  Our special education teachers use technology, mobility equipment and innovative techniques to teach students academics and life skills.

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this position is to assist the teacher and therapists with carrying out activities designed to address goals as outlined in the students’ Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs). The duties may include but are not limited to; direct instruction of students, following mobility, dining, behavior and direct care plans of students.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Help the teachers with activities designed to address students’ needs according to their personalized education plans
  • Prepare classroom materials, instructing students, and custodial care of students
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members


  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with children or individuals with disabilities is preferred
  • Must obtain NYS Teaching Assistant Certification within one (1) year of hire and maintain the certification while employed
  • Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds to apply for this position
