Job Description:  
CCS is seeking a motivated, deadline-driven Associate Director, Proposal Writing to work with a Mid-Atlantic and Southeast-based Executive team. The successful candidate will work closely with our Executive team and other proposal writers to create materials that ensure successful business development and sales conversations. A critical component of this role is to help develop consistent, creative, and professional proposals, RFPs, and presentations that differentiate CCS from our competitors and outline our scopes of work in clear and compelling ways. Please note that this is not a sales or lead generating position

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  
  • Lead the writing and designing of visually compelling sales proposals, presentations, and other supporting materials, in collaboration with the Executive Team. This process can include, but is not limited to: 
    • Establishing internal deadlines to guide daily activity 
    • Working with the Executive Team to strategize next steps for individual institutions in the sales pipeline process 
    • Supporting the creation, editing, formatting, and distribution of sales, marketing, and operational materials within deadlines 
    • Working with team executives to establish the scope of work, fees, and other key elements of all sales proposals 
  • Support the management of the sales pipeline for Team Executives 
  • Complete lead preparation and briefing forms in advance of sales meetings
  • Draft thank-you and follow-up correspondence on behalf of Team Executives 
  • Work with team systems coordinator to ensure NetSuite info is up-to-date 
  • Establish and maintain proposal templates 
  • Liaise with proposal writers across the firm to understand trends and continually enhance materials 
  • Ensure follow-up on Web leads 
  • Attend sales meetings with Team Executives and manage follow-up, as appropriate 
  • Additional tasks as needed to support the sale process 
 
Qualifications:  
Ideal candidates will possess excellent writing, communication, research, and design skills to contribute to the development of sales materials and resources. The candidate is also comfortable working with multiple Executives and other proposal writers and is capable of meeting set deadlines and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent along with a minimum of one to two years of relevant experience preferred  
  • Ability to balance myriad tasks and deadlines efficiently 
  • Excellent writing and visualization skills 
  • Thorough proofreading skills 
  • Strong time management skills 
  • Keen ability to problem-solve 
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook 
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team  
  • High degrees of resourcefulness and responsiveness  
  • Creative presentation design experience - experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Publisher, Canva, and other graphic design programs a plus but not required 
  • Prior experience with RFPs, proposals, and client relationship management are a plus, but not required.

Salary range: $60k - $80k
