Understanding the Role 
The Europe office is seeking a self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented Business Development Manager to join its team to support the strategy, planning, coordination, and execution of key internal business operations with an emphasis on business development efforts and select marketing initiatives. The role requires the ability to manage numerous deadline-driven projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will possess excellent organization, project management, writing, and communications skills.  
  
This is not a sales position.  
  
Position Responsibilities 
  • Collaborate with team leaders to prepare and develop sales proposals and presentations 
  • Compile research on nonprofit organizations and relevant industry trends to inform business development materials and overarching marketing activity 
  • Collect and maintain information on client projects across the firm for use in corporate and regional marketing materials 
  • Collaborate with team leaders to identify aspirational clients and strategies methods for outreach and engagement 
  • Update and manage mass outreach contact list  
  • Monitor eTender websites and online portals for RFPs 
  • Research and identify regional networking opportunities to establish new partnerships and promote CCS services 
  • Build and cultivate strategic partnerships with nonprofit associations and professional groups 
  • Work closely with Associate Director of Operations to coordinate outreach to former clients to support ongoing stewardship efforts 
  • Manage CCS branded-SWAG and materials inventory in Europe 
  • Work in tandem with the Corporate Marketing team in support of various initiatives including conferences, webinars, surveys, website updates, social media, etc. 
  
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 3+ years of related work experience 
  • Excellent written and communication skills 
  • Excellent time management and project management skills 
  • Ability to balance myriad tasks and deadlines efficiently 
  • Self-starter able to drive activity in a fast-paced environment 
  • Friendly and professional demeanor who can work collaboratively with a team 
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and self-directed behavior 
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Knowledge of fundraising and nonprofit sector preferred 
  • Understanding of the philanthropic landscape in Europe (specifically UK and Ireland)  
  • CRM experience (specifically NetSuite) is a plus 
  • Experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, and/or other graphic design platforms is a plus
