Field Supervisor

The Field Supervisor’s responsibility is to supervise, in the field, two or more of the following: the construction, implementation and performance of a project. Complete all work on schedule, within the budget and to the quality of workmanship specified by our clients. As a representative of CASCADE in the field with direct interaction with clients and the general public, a Field Supervisor must have strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment, as well as be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for all on-site aspects of the field operation.
- Have thorough knowledge and understanding of the General Contract, each Subcontract, the contract drawings, specifications and agenda to assist the Project Manager in the development of the on-site procedures.
- Assist the Project Manager in the development and refinement of the project schedule and obtaining/receiving DDR’s from the field Daily. Work with the Project Manager to keep the schedules properly updated and ensure that the job meets the various required dates.
- Plan and review the Drilling / Operations Plan with the Project Manager, including: quality control procedures, safety and security practices, field office location and layout, temporary utilities, staging areas, equipment and manpower.
- Perform and manage moderately complex projects.
- Strong understanding of the capabilities and limitation of equipment and technologies and able to trouble shoot mechanical issues on equipment.
- Primary resource for technical and hands-on training of junior technicians. Provide field training in the safe and efficient operation of equipment or services provided.
- Participate in CASCADE’s CORE health and safety program through active engagement in the recognition, identification, reporting, and correcting of hazardous situations, conditions, equipment and/or practices. Contribute to the identification, reporting, and correction of hazardous conditions, practices, and/or situations.
- Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting, pulling and pushing heavy objects.
- Keep a clean and safe work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of four years relevant industry experience.
- OHSA Construction Safety training (30 hrs or 10 hrs) based on company and state requirements.
- Clean DMV record with no DUI's or major violations
- 40 hour hazardous waste operations and emergency response (HAZWOPER) certification.
- Current annual 8 hour HAZWOPER refresher training certificate.
- OSHA 8-Hour HAZWOPER Site Supervisor training
- Strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment; capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals.
- Can work both independently and in a team setting demonstrating leadership, ability to manage multiple objectives, tasks and clients., Provide direction to field personnel with a record of strong customer satisfaction.
- Submit to and pass, without restrictions, a pre-placement physical exam and drug and alcohol screen.
- Self-motivated, detail oriented, punctual and dependable.
- Safe work habits, good communication skills, great work ethic, team player, and positive attitude despite the challenges project logistics, weather and geology will throw at you.
