We have an immediate opening for a Data Operations Analyst. The Data Operations Analyst will help manage survey processes including survey design, sample management, data cleaning, weighting data, and consolidating final data. The analyst will also produce client deliverables, perform Quality Control and conduct ad-hoc analyses. This position is located in our Washington, DC Area office with a generous work from home policy. 

Duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Maintaining, updating, and running statistical programs
  • Running and enhancing models for producing visitation volume and spending estimates for client deliverables
  • Running the Small Area Model for the Performance survey data
  • Producing tabular data for internal and external clients
  • Conducting ad hoc analyses for clients or internal requests
  • Creating statistical models utilizing data mining techniques to garner insights from our robust and extensive data set of travel behavior 
  • Collaborating with other members of the Data Operations team to enhance and improve existing processes and to work on new projects
  • Reports to VP Analytics & Data Operations


  • Proficiency with a statistical software package such as R, SAS, or Stata
  • Experience with survey methodology and survey data
  • Experience with data visualization
  • Knowledge of AI models and ML algorithms
  • Knowledge of a programming language such as Python
  • Bachelor’s Degree in statistics, data science, or similar quantitative discipline
  • Experience with predictive analytics and forecasting models
  • Proficiency with SQL
  • Experience working with a large public data set such as a National Longitudinal Survey, other BLS surveys, census data sets, etc.
  • Familiarity with popular US and international travel destinations and extensive travel experience
  • Experience with syndicated research
