We are looking to bring on a motivated, professional, and detail-oriented IT Systems Administrator to help poise us for further growth and sustainability.

In this role, you will provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of all on-premises and cloud IT systems in a Windows environment. Support includes day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem-solving resolutions for the IT systems. The System Administrator will also configure and manage operating system software while continually maintaining integrity, configuring network components, implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance, and provide Tier II/III help desk support for local and remote employees. Perform activities such as monitoring performance, troubleshooting complex laptop, server, and network issues, installing server software and upgrades, maintaining server backups and data recovery, supporting corporate IT projects, and creating IT documentation as needed.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service from a positive, helpful, and caring perspective.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and install new hardware and software, including system upgrades
  • Support applications and manage devices on-premises and in the cloud including software updates, patches, and configuration changes.
  • Monitor the performance and troubleshoot issues of existing on-premises and cloud systems and networks.
  • Manage data backup and recovery processes.
  • Provide Tier II/III help desk support for local and remote employees to resolve complex hardware and software issues.
  • Provide technical training and guidance to users
  • Create and maintain IT process documentation
  • IT project implementation and support as directed
  • Coordinate vendors and contractors of IT systems
  • Assist with information security tasks and projects as directed
  • Promote professionalism and teamwork
  • Champion open, honest, and effective communication.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures of system administration including but not limited to: Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure AD, Microsoft 365, and VMware.
  • Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures of network administration including but not limited to: Local Area Network (LAN), Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), Wireless Networking, Virtual Private Network (VPN), Switching, and Routing
  • Advanced computer usage skills and aptitude.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly diagnose, research, and apply fixes to issues affecting IT Systems.          
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and organize workload.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • High work ethic, integrity, and professional conduct.

Required Education/Training:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in a small to medium sized business.
