Security Technician - Friday - Monday, 7:00 am -5:30p
Description
- Conduct routine internal and external patrols of buildings and grounds
- Monitor access points and verify credentials for restricted areas
- Identify and report suspicious activity or security concerns
- Respond promptly to emergencies and assist employees and visitors
- De-escalate situations and ensure a safe environment
- Complete detailed shift reports and maintain accurate logs
- Escort employees to vehicles upon request
- Support HSE and Facilities teams with various tasks
- Assist with site needs such as walkway clearing during inclement weather

- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations
- Dependable and able to work independently
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 0 years of security or related experience, 2 years preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to obtain:
- Unarmed Security Guard certification (within 3 months of hire)
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification (within 3 months of hire)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in corporate or facility security
Working Conditions
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs
- Ability to climb stairs and walk on uneven surfaces
- May be required to work across multiple locations in the Salt Lake Valley
