We are seeking a Sr. Director of PR & Communications to drive the company's thought leadership, public relations, social, content and analyst relations strategies and initiatives. In this role, you will report directly to the VP Corporate Marketing and Communications, manage a team of experienced social strategists, content writers, analyst relations experts, and agency partners.   
What you’ll be working on  
Thought Leadership: Create and activate differentiated points of view, leveraging our experienced execs where appropriate, to build credibility, increase awareness and establish Barracuda as a trusted expert in cybersecurity. You will also be providing media training for executive team members. 
Public Relations and Crisis Communications: 
  • Plan, develop and execute public relations strategies that align to company goals in order to increase Barracuda’s share of voice and awareness in the marketplace.
  • Provide communications counsel and guidance for reputation-impacting events and crisis communications.
  • Manage relationships with media outlets and influencers to secure positive coverage and increase Barracuda’s visibility in the market. 
Analyst Relations: Collaborate with AR team members, industry analysts and product marketing/product management to ensure positive positioning in analyst reports that drive favorable perceptions of our products and brand. 
Social: Lead the social team in developing and implementing a strong social strategy that effectively grows followers and engagement across platforms and that creates a strong balance between thought leadership, product announcements, customer stories and amplification of our employer brand.   
Content Strategy: Strengthen our content strategy to ensure we have a powerful story for potential customers, resellers, and managed service partners that can be consistently implemented and that furthers our leadership position in cybersecurity.
What you bring to the role   
  • 15+ years experience in B2B Public Relations and Communications  
  • Experience creating thought leadership campaigns   
  • Experience leading PR/Comms, crisis comms, and agencies  
  • Demonstrated experience in building and managing relationships with media outlets, industry analysts other key influencers.  
  • Experience leading social strategy and execution  
  • Strong team leadership skills, stakeholder management and cross-functional relationship
  • building skills  
  • Knowledge/experience in cybersecurity preferred  
  • Agency and in-house company experience, ideally at a high-growth B2B SaaS company preferred

Campbell, CA only. The anticipated on-target earnings range for this role is $243,000-$261,000 Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, the budget for the position, and applicable employment laws.
