The Barracuda Central Intelligence team is hiring for an ambitious and driven Manager, Threat Analysts. This position is a critical piece of Barracuda’s mission to provide the absolute best in class protection efficacy to our customers. The Barracuda Central Intelligence team is responsible for collecting, aggregating, enriching, and distributing threat intelligence across the company to develop threat detection systems that protect our customers.
This role will have the opportunity to make a large impact on the company and be able to deliver solutions that directly impact customers.
What you’ll be working on:
- Detect, gather, and evaluate email security threats and emerging patterns.
- Investigate proactive strategies for identifying and countering cyber-attacks.
- Prioritize, delegate, and supervise all engineers’ activities and deliverables
- Hire and nurture an exceptional Analyst team by providing coaching and development opportunities.
- Establish professional and personal goals for the team that align with business objectives. Monitor and manage performance
- Collaborate with the Machine Learning Engineering and Data teams to understand data models, algorithms, and analytics for email security, facilitating effective communication between the content analysis team and data experts.
- Utilize data analysis and reporting skills to help train the team to communicate more effectively with the ML Engineering and data teams.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, guidelines, and standard operating procedures for the content analysis team, ensuring knowledge sharing and consistent workflows.
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 8+ years of proven experience in cybersecurity, with specialization in email security and incident response.
- 3–4 years of experience managing and mentoring a team of security analysts.
- Strong knowledge of cyber threats and the email threat landscape.
- Expertise in email protocols (SMTP, DNS, networking), phishing techniques, and security best practices.
- Familiarity with email security technologies, including DMARC, SPF, DKIM, encryption, and anti-phishing solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to author formal blogs or detailed publications analysing advanced cyberattacks.
- Proficiency in Python automation and experience with Linux environments.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and mentoring capabilities.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in hiring and managing a growing analyst team.
- Effective collaboration skills for working with diverse teams and stakeholders
