We are seeking a well-rounded Agile Release Train Engineer/ Scrum Master to engage stakeholders, improve performance goals, and drive Agile execution at both the team and program levels. This role will support business process improvement, gap analysis, and collaborative delivery, while enabling cross-team alignment through Agile Release Train (ART) practices. Responsibilities Include:
  • Facilitate Program Increment (PI) Planning for large-scale Agile environments, ensuring cross-team alignment, prioritization, and delivery confidence
  • Lead Inspect & Adapt workshops to drive systemic improvements in velocity, quality, and flow
  • Improve ART transparency with Kanban boards and dashboards to enhance stakeholder visibility.
  • Foster cross-team collaboration and early risk mitigation through Scrum of Scrums and dependency management
  • Coach teams to elevate agile maturity, delivery predictability, and collaboration
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement via Scrum Master Communities of Practice and agile learning forums
  • Manage client relationships, conduct problem solving, identify solutions, present approaches, and manage execution
  • Conduct business process evaluation and design to streamline workflows
  • Perform as Scrum Master, facilitating Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, demos)
  • Own and manage development team sprint planning, backlog refinement, and demos for client stakeholders
  • Track progress, remove impediments, and ensure delivery alignment with objectives
  • Document use cases, requirements, and prepare inputs for architectural and system design reviews
  • Serve as a scribe capturing meeting minutes, key decisions, action items, and delivering timely written communication
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, required
Experience Requirements:
  • 6+ years facilitating requirements-gathering sessions with business and technical stakeholders, with strong documentation skills
  • Experience serving as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) leading Agile Release Trains, PI Planning, Inspect & Adapt workshops, dependency management, and cross-team coaching
  • Proven experience in process migration and integration into the ServiceNow ecosystem
  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) with demonstrated success as a Scrum Master leading Agile software development teams
Desired Requirements:
  • Experience in Federal and/or DOD consulting environments
  • Agile certification (SAFe,)
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio)
  • Advanced proficiently with Atlassian toolset (JIRA, Confluence)
Location:
  • REMOTE (MUST BE local!! DMV or surrounding--Commutable distance)  
Security Requirements:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance (Public Trust)
  • This role supports a government agency which requires U.S. citizenship
