We are currently searching for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at our Spartanburg Plant in Spartanburg, SC. 


What you will do:

  • Coordinate and establish maintenance work priorities, including preventative maintenance, and procure resources for the same
  • Assist skill trades with technical problems, supply necessary tools and administer discipline.
  • Support the continuous improvement process:
    • Provide technical support and manpower for Kaizen events
    • Attend or facilitate Kaizen events as required
  • Coordinate hand offs with Maintenance Team between shifts
  • Lead the Preventive Maintenance (PM) for the plant:
    • Coordinate the disposition process of work orders and integrity of the PM task instructions
    • Establish PM schedule in accordance to company and manufacturer requirements
    • Ensure safety PMs are completed timely
  • Maintain proper operating condition of all equipment, machinery, utilities and facility.  
  • Support the safety culture of plant:
    • Be an active member of the safety committee
    • Immediately address any safety concerns as reported
    • Actively participate in Incident Investigations and corrective actions process to eliminate safety concerns
    • Ensure team is following all workplace rules and safety policies and procedures
    • As required, assist in the authorized training hands on sessions
  • Responsible for MRO process for the plant:
    • Maintain MRO supplies at appropriate min/max levels
  • Assist in the development of training/ apprenticeship programs to build bench strength
  • As required, manage contractors when working onsite to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Actively participate activities centered on Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) improvements and waste reduction opportunities identified
  • Other Duties as Assigned

 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in front of a computer screen 8 hours or more per day
  • Ability to move around in office environment as needed to complete job duties. This may involve the need to climb stairs
  • Ability to move around on production floor as needed to complete job duties. This may involve the need to climb stairs or ladders
  • Must be able to fully comply with all applicable safety requirements and policies
  • Ability to work in noisy environment

What you will bring:

  • A minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience within industrial maintenance role, preferably in an automotive supplier
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor
  • Associates degree is preferred

 Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer and math skills (MS Office- Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to safely lift and/or pull 30 lbs without restriction
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work weekends, overtime as needed
  • Excellent Attendance Record
