What will you be doing?   

    

As part of our expansion in Asia, we are looking for a passionate, driven and energetic analyst to join the growing Petrochemicals team.     

    

The ideal candidate will be an excellent analyst and will thrive in a fast-paced environment.  They will also be process-oriented and have a keen eye for detail. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their expertise in Petrochemicals and/or develop their data analysis skills and knowledge of the energy industry.   

    

  • Support and develop petrochemical analytics products using data management, industry analysis, and preparation of written content.
  • Maintain and publish models each month to forecast industry prices.
  • Provide input on economic and statistical modelling methodology.
  • Consolidate regional information from internal teams and incorporate into your analysis.
  • Develop expertise within a particular area of petrochemicals such as olefins, polymers or aromatics.
  • Support business development and marketing initiatives.

    

What we’re looking for in you    

    

  • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s preferably in Engineering, Economics, Finance or industry-related fields from a reputable university.
  • 1-2 years of prior experience within Price Reporting Agencies (PRAs), consulting firms or within the energy/commodity/petrochemical industries will be advantageous to the role.
  • Highly numerate with ability to analyse data quickly and meticulously with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Interest in and enthusiasm for commodities, energy markets, global business, politics and economics.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Proficient in Excel - advanced data manipulation commands, pivot tables and VBA macros.
  • Experience with or eager to learn SQL databases and R or Python programming languages
  • Able to work independently as a self-starter and also collaborate with our teams located in other locations.
