Senior Administrator, Manco
Location: South Africa, Cape Town

 

Description

The successful applicant’s will form part of the operations team within the FundRock Manco and his/her primary responsibility will be the day-to-day management of the team and team outputs.

 

The role requires interaction with various stakeholders of differing levels of seniority, both internally and externally, managing the service delivery to multiple clients and managing the operations team.

 

Job specification

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to performing and coordinating a variety of administrative duties and tasks including:

  • Oversight and completion of the daily team deliverables.
  • Participate in service review meetings as required.
  • Assist with the completion of necessary agreements and forms to on-board new prime brokers and open new accounts for portfolios and LISPs.
  • Engaging with Apex Fund Services teams (such as Fund Accounting, Investor Services, Custody) as well as external counterparties (such as prime brokers, Trustees, custodians, LISPs, investment managers in a professional and collaborative manner.
  • Query management: resolve errors and queries timeously through engagement with various parties.
  • Assist and maintain portfolio and investor marketing material and ensure investor forms meet regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Manage the FundRock SA Manco website to ensure regulatory requirements are met regarding publishing deadlines and NAV price accuracy.
  • Engaging with the Risk team and Compliance team on various issues impacting the Manco.
  • Engage with counterparties and review, draft, finalise and implement policies and processes.
  • Assist with projects and the implementation of strategic initiatives.

Skills Required:

  • Experience in the Collective Investment Scheme (CIS) industry would be advantageous
  • Good understanding of technical and operational requirements.
  • An accounting qualification (BCom or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within the financial industry.
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Strong communications skills to engage at all levels and develop internal and external business relationships.
  • Problem solving. Quickly understand business issues and data challenges to develop a solution.
  • Detail oriented and able to identify shortcomings in processes and procedures.
  • Effective time-management and organizational skills to achieve deadlines.
