About the Role

The Analyst will be a core member of the Investment Advisory team, contributing to a variety of high-impact projects for institutional clients. The team provides a full range of advisory and investment services including strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager selection, investment and operational due diligence, on-going portfolio monitoring, in addition to bespoke consulting advice and analytics. The team covers all asset classes with a specialist focus on alternative investments, including private markets, specifically private equity, private credit, infrastructure and real estate.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on investment managers, funds, and the markets in which they operate, particularly focusing on private markets
  • Assist with manager selection mandates for institutional clients, contributing to both qualitative and quantitative analyses
  • Contribute to both investment and operational due diligence on fund managers
  • Prepare various reports, including due diligence reports, economic reviews and research pieces
  • Support strategic asset allocation and portfolio construction exercises
  • Develop expertise quickly on major sectors of interest to the investment community

 

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 1 year financial sector experience with a good understanding of financial markets
  • Proven record of academic achievement, work ethic, and leadership
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in report writing and ability to communicate complex ideas
  • Ability to complete projects on time and accurately
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adjust to changing deadlines
  • Ability to use initiative and work independently, while taking ownership
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Team player with the capability to work autonomously when required
  • Demonstrated drive, energy, and ambition to achieve desired outcomes
  • Interest in investment consultancy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Basic interest in quantitative software such as Python

 

Eligibility

Candidates must hold a minimum of a second-class (division one) degree from a reputable university, ideally in finance, mathematics, engineering, sciences, or business.
