Principal Database Administrator - Oracle

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Oracle DBA to lead our database team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10+ years of experience in database administration, with a proven track record of managing Oracle databases in an enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a small team of database professionals in the management, maintenance, and enhancement of Oracle databases.
- Ensure database performance, security, and integrity in a high-availability setting.
- Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and patch management.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to optimize database operations and support application development.
- Implement and maintain database backup, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
- Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting of complex database issues.
- Manage database capacity planning and scalability to support business growth.
- Oversee the implementation of Oracle database policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
- Experience leading a database team in an enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, software, and tools.
- Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle database management and tuning.
- Familiarity with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud services is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
