Manager Applications Support

 

The primary responsibility of the Manager Applications Support is to ensure the availability and high quality of services provided to the end-users. These include several applications including in-house applications and interfaces with other systems and data sources.

The person must have the ability to work as part of a team, within IT as well as in collaboration with end-users, Product Owners and other stakeholders. They must be able to understand requirements and guide the team in designing, documenting and implementing appropriate solutions, contributing to the process if required to satisfy the users’ needs.

 

The successful applicant will work with global IT Operation and Support team. Experience working with Agile and DevOps methodologies would be preferable.

 

Job Specification

 

  • Leading an international team of Application Support Engineers and Developers
  • Controlling IT workstreams in global projects
  • Development, maintenance and support of several in-house solutions (Python, JSON, VB.NET, PL/SQL)
  • Development, maintenance and support of scheduling and ETL solutions
  • Reporting tool like OpenText, crystal report
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to change management and release management procedures
  • Working closely with other team members and end users

 

Skills Required

  • 8-10+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • 8+ years’ design and support experience
  • Solid knowledge and experience in VB.NET, Python and JSON
  • Experience in (Oracle) database design and PL/SQL
  • Knowledge and experience of software engineering life cycle
  • Experience working with automation/scheduling tools, such as VisualCron or Control-M
  • Experience working with ETL tools, such as Alphafuse or X-Gen
  • Great attention to details and the passion to drive projects forward

 

  • Excellent time management and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills in both English written and verbal
  • Good understanding of financial solution and process
  • Background in the financial industry preferable
