Assistant Professor, Education/Educational Leadership, Tenure Track
The College of Arts and Sciences at Suffolk University invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant professor position beginning July 1, 2019 (pending final budgetary approval).The position is in education with expertise in educational leadership/access, equity and inclusion; the successful applicant will have relevant research in this area.We are seeking a colleague with leadership experience in a school and/or district, university, or a combination of these. The successful candidate will play a key role in the launch of a new doctoral program and will teach doctoral-level courses in a hybrid or weekend blended model. A background in areas such as access, equity and inclusion reform efforts; evidence-based decision-making; research project design; and the use of data for P-16 improvement is highly desirable. Experience in curriculum development, program evaluation, and policy advocacy at the P-12 or higher education levels would be welcomed.Ph.D. or Ed.D. must be in hand by July 1, 2019.We seek evidence of teaching excellence, preferably at the graduate level. Service to the College, in terms of serving on faculty committees and advising students, is also required.
