Performing Arts Advisor (Soulfully Versed)
Suffolk University seeks an experienced Advisor/Music Director to support Soulfully Versed, a student lead co-ed a cappella group. The advisor attends one rehearsal per week during the academic year (Sunday afternoon) and supports the student leaders in running additional rehearsals. Provides artistic and functional direction, and fosters student leadership. Responsible for developing and teaching a repertoire of a cappella music. The advisor will provide support and guidance to this energetic student group in auditions, song selection, musical arranging, performance technique, show production, etc.
Experience in teaching and arranging a cappella music and working with vocalists from a variety of backgrounds is required.
The Performing Arts Office is a co-curricular program that supports student involvement and leadership through the arts serving the Suffolk’s downtown Boston campus. We advise and coach student performing arts groups and produce campus arts events.
Payment is $2000/per semester.
Time commitment is approximately 5 hours per week.
