Position Title:  Project Coordinator

Department:Project Implementation and Operations

Entity:                 CS e-STORAGE UK

Reports To:   Project Director

Location:            England, Hybrid

 

Position Summary:

 

The Project Coordinator assists with preparing and coordinating the development and implementation of energy storage projects, which will involve establishing and maintaining project management and procurement processes such as, tracking client submittal obligations, development of customer client interfaces, managing and supporting the transfer of information between client and customer. non- conformances and contract modifications. Knowledge of energy storage systems, engineering principles, project management processes, construction management processes, electrical codes and integrated photovoltaic and battery system applications would be highly desirable. Experience with project execution processes is essential.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

          Assist the project management teams with coordination of project related activities.

          Assist the project manager in developing project plans and associated communications documents.

          Pro-actively assist with schedule development and milestone tracking.

          Assist with the management of vendor commitments and relationships.

          Effectively develop and communicate project status updates in a clear and concise manner.

          Manage communication flow for contract submittals, project reporting, invoicing, vendor submittals and other documentation between customer, project team, and suppliers.

          Liaise with both internal and external project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.

          Support subcontractor operations daily through coordination and scheduling. Take ownership of the subcontractor schedule including job flow and customer experience.

          Identify the critical path required to achieve a given task and manage until completion.

          Problem solve unique situations as they arise.

          Actively participate in developing and maintaining online business management tools used for the development and execution of all projects.

          Identify areas for process improvement and assist with creating and revising the process to ensure better efficiency and client experience.

          Support procurement manager in the development of requests for proposals and contract exhibits.

          Monitor the status of the project to ensure documentation is submitted according to schedule.

          Review and verify project documents for completeness, format, and compliance with contract requirements.

          Submit project proposals and documentation to management for approval and transmit approved documents to the customer.

          Use and promote excellent customer service soft skills.

          Understand and promote Canadian Solar products and offering.

          Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Project Director.

          Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures.

 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

 

          Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline from a university or college

          Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

          Solid and effective interpersonal and communication skills (including oral, written, and visual)

          Strong organizational and time management skills; Acute awareness and ability to manage deadlines.

          Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Project

          Proficient with Scheduling in MS Project (P6 would be an asset)

          Knowledge of working on Smartsheet, Autodesk would be an added asset.

          Accuracy and attention to detail a must.

          Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally.

          Demonstrated independent thinking, initiative, and creativity.

          Ability to function successfully both independently and within a team.

          Demonstrated professional appearance and conduct.

          Ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends) as required.

          Valid Driver’s license is a must.

          50% travel to project sites may be required.
