LOCATION: Arlington, TX
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Director of Finance
WORK HOURS: Monday – Friday 8 AM – 5 PM, ability to work weekends and/or extended hours, as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for several aspects of Accounting and reporting for multiple companies. This position requires an individual who is experienced with creating journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, inter-company transactions, and assisting with reviewing financial reports. A successful candidate will be accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment that is always looking to improve, change, or streamline processes and procedures.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and post sub-module entries from AR and AP.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for various companies.
- Manage EFT process for membership.
- Review and approve journal entries.
- Month-end Close and Year-End processing and reporting.
- Manage investment journal entries.
- New vendor and customer setup in Great Plains.
- Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- General understanding of Accounting Principles.
- Microsoft Great Plains, preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Must be very detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible.
EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Business degree in Staff Accounting or similar years of experience, preferred.
- 2 or more years of experience.
- Intermediate to advanced user of Excel.
- Must pass the RVP program and maintain a “Green Light” status.
- Must adhere to the Code of Conduct of the USBC Registered Volunteer Program is a condition of employment and continued employment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Must be able to move/lift up to 10lbs.
- Compensation paid commensurate on experience.
