REPORTS TO: Director of High Performance
WORK HOURS: Monday – Friday 8 AM – 5 PM, ability to work weekends and/or extended hours, as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY:
An Assistant Coach of Team USA is responsible for assisting the Head Coach across Team USA training camps, virtual athlete programming, and international events. This experienced individual will coach throughout the year approximately 160 to 180 hours out of the year.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports the growth and development of the Team USA program and its athletes.
- Maintains clear and effective communication with Team USA coaches, athletes, and program staff.
- Assists the Head Coach in developing individual athlete training and competition plans for all Team USA members with the goal of winning Gold medals at international events.
- Travels with Team USA in the United States and internationally and serves as the Assistant Coach for select competitions for Team USA.
- Serves as a resource for the Head Coach in preparation for Team USA training camps, virtual athlete engagement meetings, and international competition.
- Assists the Head Coach and program staff with the implementation of training camps and virtual athlete meetings.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent written and verbal communications, to include excellent presentation/public speaking skills required.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and effectively meet deadlines required.
- Ability to obey the mission statement, bylaws, policies, and philosophies of USBC Team USA and USOPC.
- Familiarity with USOPC programs and activities desired.
EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience required. Experience could take the form of extensive involvement and knowledge of the bowling world.
- Experience with running camps, clinics, and team coaching.
- USBC Silver Trained Coach required or within 90 days with the ability to become a Gold Trained Coach.
- Must pass the RVP program and maintain a “Green Light” status.
- Must adhere to the Code of Conduct of the USBC Registered Volunteer Program is a condition of employment and continued employment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and/or climb.
- Must be able to move/lift up to 50lbs.
