Job Description

The intern will perform microscopy experiments in support of several therapeutic programs. Duties will include basic cell culture, fixation and staining of cell/tissue samples, fluorescent and confocal microscopic imaging of cell/tissue samples. The intern is required keep accurate records of all experiments. The intern will regularly written summaries and slides describing his/her work and will regularly present and discuss her/his work in group settings.

Qualifications/Eligibility:

  • Student must be pursuing either B.S., B.A. or Master’s, or Ph.D. degree.
  • Student must have some laboratory experience either through classes or work experience.
  • Student must be organized, detail-oriented, a strong verbal and written communicator.
  • Student must be returning to school in the Fall Term OR has graduated within the 1 year of the start of the intern program
  • Must be available to work 40 hours a week
  • Housing and Transportation is responsibility of the Intern
