Data Modeling Specialist

As part of this role, the individual will create, maintain and model complex configurations utilizing Tacton's CPQ Configuration Suite to support the organization's SCPQ tools. By using these web-based SCPQ tools, customers can configure complex service offerings in a way that meets their individual needs.  

Essential Functions and Major Activities:   

Must to have:

 

  1. Capture, understand, review, clarify, and agree on business requirements. 
  2. Translate business requirements into Tacton CPQ design and write configuration logic for implementation. 
  3. Proficiency in data modeling, structuring, and cleansing. 
  4. Experience with MS Excel and managing medium to large databases. 
  5. Strong analytical skills. 
  6. Ability to schedule and plan tasks within an agile environment. 
  7. Collaboration with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Marketing, and Product Management. 
  8. Flexibility to work different schedules to meet strict deadlines. 
  9. Basic understanding of JIRA System or Agile methodologies. 
  10. Define new features required for selection software to support marketing and sales needs. 
  11. Monitor Help Desk ticketing system and provide timely assistance to customers. 
  12. Prepare documentation of issue resolution. 
  13. Manage end-user accounts, permissions, and access rights. 
  14. Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding software information, error reporting, and updates. 
  15. Maintain relationships with Product Management and IT departments for necessary changes and data structure adjustments to support selection software requirements. 

Good to have: 

  1. CPQ experience candidate for eg. Tacton CPQ, Oracle CPQ Cloud, SAP CPQ, DealHub CPQ, Experlogix CPQ 
  2. Pump Background is added advantage, good to have from mechanical background.  
  3. Extensive excel user. 

Most important competencies required   

Able to perform routine tasks with minimal supervision; but also, able to work effectively within the team dynamic as required.   

  • Collecting and interpreting data and analyzing results, and Reporting the results back to the business
  • Ability to analyze large datasets
  • Ability to write comprehensive reports
  • Identifying patterns and trends in data sets as well as defining new data collection and analysis processes
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
