Data Architect
 
We’re seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise data systems—focused on SQL development, Master Data Management (MDM), and data quality. This is a confidential replacement for a key technical contributor and is limited to Bay Area-based candidates.

You’ll play a central role in advancing XL Construction’s data strategy, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and scalability across our business systems. This is an ideal role for a hands-on technologist who thrives on solving complex data problems and working cross-functionally to drive smart business decisions.

What You’ll Do
  • Design and maintain scalable data architecture frameworks that support business intelligence, analytics, and operational systems.
  • Lead implementation and optimization of Master Data Management (MDM) solutions to ensure consistency across platforms.
  • Develop and manage SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data standards, governance policies, and integration strategies.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and platforms that support data architecture and MDM.
  • Support data modeling, metadata management, and data cataloging initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data architecture, with a strong emphasis on SQL and MDM.
  • Proven experience with enterprise data platforms, data lakes, and cloud-based data solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Deep understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and metadata management.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across business and technical teams.
Preferred Experience
  • Tools such as Informatica MDM, Profisee, or Semarchy.
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Services, AWS Redshift, or Snowflake.
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., CCPA, HIPAA, GDPR).

Compensation & Pay Transparency (California):
In accordance with California’s pay transparency regulations, the base salary range for this position is $180,000 – $220,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and skills.
This position is also eligible for additional incentives and comes with a comprehensive benefits package including:
